Let’s talk disability.

Below are a list of questions people frequently ask me. Got a question? Fill out the form below.

  • The Paralympic Games are the largest sporting event internationally for people with physical disabilities.

The Paralympic Games always take place the two weeks after the Olympic Games—and no, the Paralympic Games are not the same as the Olympics. They are closely related, like sisters!

Dani has competed at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games, and the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympic Games.

  • Sport is our vehicle to have larger conversations about disability inclusion.

The Paralympics seek to change perceptions of people with disabilities in attitudes, mobility, and opportunity.

As a fan, you can tune in to NBC to watch the Games, and follow Culxtured to learn more about the sports and athletes.

  • Understanding disability is so important because it is everywhere.

In fact, 15% of the world’s population has a disability. Whether it is your workplace, your school, or even the businesses you support, take the time to look around and see what changes could be made to make the space more accessible and inclusive.

Disability is not a bad word. I encourage you to challenge the biases you hold surrounding disability.

  • Here are some of my favorite resources (you can click any of the links below):

  • My coach knows I love western culture, and one day at practice, as I skied into the range, he made a joke saying “the Biathlon Bandit” was rolling in.  I heard it, I loved it, and it has stuck! I love combining my passion of western fashion with the sport I do.
